Welcome to the 4-star hotel and inn „Zum Widitscher“, which is located at the edge of the beautiful landscape of the Nockberge in the village Sirnitz (790m above sea-level).

The hotel’s name arises from the farm “Widitscher” in Sirnitz. In 1993 Greenpeace awarded a prize to Sirnitz for it’s exceptional air quality. The hotel “Widitscher” offers various exciting external and indoor possibilities both for “homey” and sporty vacationists.

Hotel and Facilities:

The hotel owners Michaela and Bernhard Girisch come from Bavarian. They run their hotel with warmth and interest in the greatest detail. Furthermore, it’s very important for them to create an authentic, comfortable atmosphere and to offer both native and sophisticated culinary delights. Both locals and visitors can enjoy relaxation and the great ambience. The hotel also is the obvious place for social events, business celebrations, family parties and seminars.

Rooms

Our offer meets all demands: there are elegant comfortable apartments with the latest communication devices, like internet connection as well as elegant-folksy and family-friendly apartments.

Our hotel is equipped with more than 13 comfortable, elegant furnished standard rooms (18-21 m²). These rooms are all equipped with internet connection. Additionally, our 7 luxury apartments (26-30 m²) are suitable for the handicapped and equipped with wooden furniture.

Our hotel also has 3 family apartments (36-40 m²), each with a children’s room (available up to 6 persons).

Restaurant

Our hotel has various guest rooms – there’s space for about 80 persons in the “Rote Saal”, 40 persons in the “Kärntner Stubn” and there’s space for at most 20 persons in the “Jagastüberl”. For big events it’s possible to open the sliding door between the guest rooms.

Enjoy both our culinary delicacies and the regional cuisine – take a break from everyday life and treat yourself to some fine food.

The hotel owner is a passionate chef and it’s very important for him to use mainly regional products and products from an organic farm. We appreciate to handle our products with care and to cook gently.

Seminars/events

We’ve been very experienced in organizing events and celebrations for years. This guarantees you a unique and perfect stay in the hotel Widitscher in Sirnitz.

We’re excellent at organizing exquisite and remarkable celebrations up to 120 persons.

We also welcome lecturers as well as conferees to use our spacious (up to 60 persons) and well equipped (projector, beamer, video, flip-chart) rooms to hold efficient seminars. Furthermore, we put a W-LAN connection and a separate SWITCH to use the internet at your disposal.

This is the program for the general well-being and the full mental and physical balance. In our wellness and spa resort which includes an indoor swimming pool, solarium, whirlpool, a Finnish and a steam sauna, you can relax and find both psychological and physical well-being.

Sport

Visitors who are keen on sport can go for a swim in a heated lido or can have fun when curling on an ice lane in winter and on an asphalt lane in summer. These two attractions are next to our hotel.

Next to our hotel there is a heated lido, a beautiful lawn, a Kneipp- and „Kräuterlehr“ trail and an ice lane in winter or an asphalt lane in summer to enjoy curling.

Moreover, there are 200 km long bridle and hiking paths, unique vantage points, natural monuments (e.g. a 1000 year old larch), the last working water-mill, the most beautiful charnel-house in Carinthia, exhibitions and concerts in the castle Albeck.

Everyone who likes to go hiking and loves nature can choose between several trails around the Hochrindl in the beautiful Carinthian alpine pastures: Ursulaquelle, Panoramaweg, Jakobsquelle, Nationalpark Nockberge as well as Kneipp- and meditation trails.

Active vacationists can experience change and get some exercise in summer and in winter

The landscape and nature in the Nockberge offer varied possibilities to spend active vacations – it’s recommendable to go skiing, snow-shoe hiking and cross-country skiing in winter, whereas beach-volleyball, hunting, swimming, mountain biking and hiking are enjoyable in summer.
